- Project summary:
SIPFIP project aims to develop an experimental model of an intelligent protection and filter system for power inverters that are used in backup power sources with rechargeable batteries. The system consists of two interconnected modules.
The first module is for system localization, inverter protection, data processing and communication (MILPC).
The system’s second module is adaptable and is designed to filter the voltage supplied at the inverter output (MAFU).
Centralizing the data obtained from such systems offers the possibility of constantly knowing their technical state, facilitating predictive maintenance operations, which is one of the "smart cities" attributes.
The socio-economic impact estimated through the implementation of this project is based on the benefits that the system that is intended to be developed brings to the project’s beneficiary into its economic activity, helping to increase its competitiveness in the market The system can be integrated into turn-key solutions provided by the company, but can also be marketed as a standalone product, thereby allowing the company to access new markets worldwide and creating the premises for the development of its turnover and generating new jobs.
- Project activities:
A1. Analysis and developement under laboratory conditions of the MILPC.
A2. Study and developement under laboratory conditions of the MAFU.
A3. Developement of a functional model of an intelligent protection and filter system for power inverters made up of the two modules.
A4. Performing laboratory tests on the functionality and performance of the integrated system.
A5. Elaboration of a scientific report, submission of a patent application.
A6. Dissemination of the obtained results in a workshop and over the Internet.
