SIAITPV project aims to develop an experimental model of an intelligent assistance system for periodic technical inspections of vehicles. The system consists of two interconnected modules.
The first module is intended for video surveillance, local storage and remote data transmission (MMVSTD).
The second module is intended for the detection of the mechanical part loads of the steering system during the technical inspection of the vehicle and the location of the area where the inspection is carried out (MDSLIT).
The use of SIAITPV by economic operators authorized by the Romanian Auto Registry to perform periodic technical inspections and summarization of the obtained data, creates the opportunity of knowing at all times the technical condition of vehicles within a locality, this being one of the attributes of "smart cities". At the same time, SIAITPV contributes to reducing the number of accidents that occur due to technical failures of vehicles and/or energy consumption in electric and hybrid vehicles.
The positive socio-economic impact estimated by SIAITPV implementation is supported by the benefits it brings to the project beneficiary by contributing to increasing its market competitiveness, to accessing new markets and creating the premises for the development of its turnover and generating new jobs.

A1. Analysis and developement under laboratory conditions of the MMVSTD.
A2. Study and developement under laboratory conditions of the MDSLIT.
A3. Developement of a functional model of an intelligent assistance system for periodic technical inspections of vehicles made up of the two modules.
A4. Performing laboratory tests on the functionality and performance of the integrated system.
A5. Elaboration of a scientific report, submission of a patent application.
A6. Dissemination of the obtained results in a workshop and over the Internet.

Dlv1. Module for video surveillance, local storage and remote data transmission (MMVSTD) – Month 3 - 100% accomplished.
Dlv2. Module designed for detection of the mechanical part loads of the steering system during the technical inspection of the vehicle and the location of the area where the inspection is carried out (MDSLIT) – Month 4 - 100% accomplished.
Dlv3. Experimental functional model of an intelligent assistance system for periodic technical inspections of vehicles – Month 5 - 100% accomplished.
Dlv4. Laboratory tests results on the functionality and performance of the system – Month 5 - 100% accomplished.
Dlv5. Scientific report submitted by the services provider – Month 5 - 100% accomplished.
Dlv6. Impact report on the use of project results to the beneficiary – in progress by the project beneficiary - will be presented at 12 months after the project completion.
RsI1. Collaboration between the Project Beneficiary and the Services provider when writing and submitting a patent application to the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) - Month 5 - 100% accomplished.
