- Project summary:
SINTELCIP project aims to develop an experimental model of an intelligent control system for power inverters that are used in backup power sources with rechargeable batteries. The system consists of two interconnected modules.
The first module is designed for the monitoring of the inverter’s input and output electrical parameters and its temperature (MMPET). It consists of a compact a data acquisition unit, input - output analog and digital units, voltage, current and temperature sensors and a data acquisition, viewing, analyzing and storing software.
The second module of the system is an intelligent data processing and inverter control module (MIPDCI). This module consists of an intelligent unit based on a development board with performant digital signal controllers (DSC) or microcontrollers.
The system implementation requires a numerical analysis of the MCEV materials behavior at electromagnetic and thermal stresses, the generator’s geometry analysis and the development and testing under laboratory conditions of the two modules (including the development of dedicated software for the MIMPD).
The socio-economic impact estimated by implementing this project is based on the advantages that the system that is intended to be developed brings to the project beneficiary in its routinely economic activity, helping to increase its competitiveness in the market. The system can be integrated in turnkey solutions provided by the company but, at the same time, can be marketed as a standalone product, thereby allowing the company to access new markets, both in Romania and worldwide, and creating the premises for the development of its turnover. Concurrently, the implementation of the project leads to the possibility of creating jobs for qualified personnel in configuring the developed systems (during this project) depending on the beneficiary’s customers’ requests.
